I have found there is a range of perennial questions asked by novice or inexperienced (and even experienced) owners of the Rover SD1 Vitesse and Vdp Efi cars about the function of individual Efi system componentsand other key parts. Various workshop manuals describe the components to a reasonable degree but they sometimes fail to establish a context of failure analysis, repair or replacement, particularly in the light of the age and current availability of spare parts. There are some very good web based collections of material all in different styles, sometimes hard to locate and catalog, variously published by individuals, car clubs or commercial houses but in my experience they dont always expand on funtionality or give "alternative" advice or options related to the component in question. Whilst not definitive in every case, this archive of descriptions and explanations is based mostly upon my personal experience, forum advice from others and material accessible elsewhere on the web and endeavors to go further into the nature of these components and their relationship to the system.
